Gangagruwan Corroboree & Dance Workshop

Gadhungal Marring invites you to join us for a Gangagruwan (Kangaroo Valley) Corroboree and Dance Workshop on November 4, 2023. Walk beside us and learn and care for the Country together in a beautiful place with a powerful story.

A corroboree is a way we give back to Mother Earth – an ancient cultural practice passed down through generations. Share stories through dance and song, celebrating the creation of our native animals and paying our respects to the lessons they hold.

Our old people have been sharing stories since the beginning of time. Gadhungal Marring is proud to continue this practice and share it with future generations and the wider community. In doing so, we honour their history and our ancestors, making sure they live on in everything we do.

Following the corroboree and smoking ceremony, we’ll share a meal prepared by Angie at The Valley Table. Dinner will feature native and ancient ingredients with a modern twist.

– Kangaroo Stew (gluten-free)
– Bean Casserole (vegan, gluten-free)
– Kids option
– Damper (vegan)
– Herbal tea and cake

Optional Pre-Corroboree Dance Workshop – 4:00-6:30 pm

In the afternoon before the corroboree, we’ll hold a dance and culture workshop for all ages. This workshop is an opportunity to deepen your connection to the world’s oldest living culture.

The workshop includes afternoon tea. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
