Indigenous Cultural Guided Canoe Tour

Join Valley Outdoors and Gadhungal Marring for a deeply immersive cultural canoe tour on the calm waters of the Kangaroo River at Bendeela Recreation Area, in the heart of Kangaroo Valley.

This intimate experience invites guests to slow down, paddle together in unique BIG canoes, and connect with Country through guided cultural sharing. Moving at the gentle pace of the river, participants are welcomed into a shared journey that honours place, story, and connection.

Led collaboratively by experienced Valley Outdoors guides and Gadhungal Marring, the tour weaves together flatwater paddling, cultural knowledge, and time on Country. The use of BIG canoes creates a collective experience, making the tour accessible, inclusive, and suitable for beginners, families, and those new to paddling.

Throughout the experience, guests are invited to listen, learn, and reflect. Cultural storytelling and interpretation provide insight into the significance of the land and waterways, while moments quiet reflection encourage a deeper relationship with place.
