Kangaroo Valley Craft Beer & BBQ Festival is bringing Australia’s elite pitmasters to battle it out in a sizzling, smoking showdown. With the official Australian BBQ Alliance competition and International Steak Cookoff on the agenda, these grill gurus will duke it out over two intense days for a share of $10,000 in cash prizes and the coveted title of King or Queen of the Valley. While tasting their creations is an exclusive VIP judges’ ticket experience, general admission ticket holders won’t miss out. Top BBQ caterers will be serving up Brazilian flair and Texas tradition in the Friendly Inn Beer Garden all weekend long.
And the brews, oh the brews! We’re talking about a mind-boggling selection of craft beers, ales, and wines. With 80 craft beers and ciders to sample, your taste buds are in for an adventure. Meet the makers, learn their brewing secrets, and maybe find your new favorite tipple. This festival is an ode to the Aussie craft beer scene, celebrating the creativity and passion of our brewers.

The festival will be rockin’ with live bands playing blues, rock, and everything in between. This is a family-friendly event with loads of entertainment the whole family can enjoy. ShowMow Racing will host the thrilling lawn mower races. Your endless chore of mowing the lawn will never feel the same once you see the thrills and spills of these modified ride-on mowers tearing up the pub’s back paddock.

There is also the ever-popular piglet racing. These adorable little racers in their shiny vests will dash for the finish line, and it’s all for a good cause. Every snout is dedicated to fundraising for The Friendly Inn community’s projects like the local sports clubs and not-for-profit groups. Betting on these speedy swine isn’t just fun; it helps support local initiatives.

This year, the festival is kicking off early on the 13th of September with a Friday night launch party at the pub for all the beer and BBQ die-hards who like to get started early. Then it’s two big days of good times on the 14th and 15th of September with gates open from 10 am.
