Our vision is our guests will be able to forage this walk in the future – like guests at your house could forage in the future too 🙂 \n\n\n\nLearn about and plant a diverse range of native edibles\, including: \n\n\n\n\n\nNative Thyme (Prostanthera) \n\n\nWarrigal Greens (Tetragonia tetragonioides) \n\n\nNative Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum) \n\n\nMidyim Berry (Austromyrtus dulcis) \n\n\nLemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) \n\n\nCinnamon Myrtle (Backhousia myrtifolia) \n\n\nFinger Limes (Citrus australasica) \n\n\nRiver Mint (Mentha australis) \n\n\nOld Man Saltbush (Atriplex nummularia) \n\n\nNative Pepperberry (Tasmannia lanceolata) \n\n\nNative Violet (Viola hederacea) \n\n\nIllawarra Plum (Podocarpus elatus) \n\n\nDavidson’s Plum (Davidsonia pruriens) \n\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop will cover: \n\n\n\n\n\nChoosing the right native plants for your garden \n\n\nHow to care for and harvest from edible natives \n\n\nTraditional uses and cultural significance of the plants\nAfter the demonstration\, participants will join in planting out the garden. The day will finish with a delicious picnic lunch made with local bush foods. \nYour ticket includes:\n\nGuided workshop and demonstration with Gadhungal Marring \n\n\n\n\n\n\nHands-on planting experience \n\n\nPicnic lunch in a stunning natural setting \nWhether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out\, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from experts and take home the knowledge you need to start growing native foods in your own backyard. Gadhungal Marring is 100% Aboriginal-owned social enterprise dedicated to sharing knowledge of native plants\, bush foods\, and cultural connection to Country.
