This foodie trail tells the story of how the Southern Highlands\, Shoalhaven and Coast\, South of Sydney are connected\, through food and wine. \nBe sustained by our 10-course degustation menu\, meet the locals\, taste cool climate wines\, smell the wild flowers blooming in the warm spring air and take in some of the most breathtaking scenery of the region as you experience the Highland Valley Forage. Enjoy our 4km experience or take in the entire 9.5km walk. \nGuests walk along the Three Views Walking track\, stopping at 10 food and beverage stations along the way\, enjoying a degustation lunch\, meeting the local food and wine producers and being part of nature. This area was directly impacted in January 2020 by the bushfires and is regenerating. Walk through this fire affected region\, experiencing the changing landscape and native wildflowers\, whilst taking in the warm spring air. \nWe welcome our local sponsors Shoalhaven Tourism as well as promotional partners NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and Destination Southern Highlands as part of this event. We also thank Birch\, Bangalay Dining\, Hampden Deli and Dining\, Blackhen Kitchen and Trolleyd as well as our wine partners for their culinary creations that make this a unique experience\, every time we enter the track. This wonderful dream team will be back for our October event. \nChoose from two options on the day; a 4km experience or the entire 9.5km walk. \nThe track is almost completely flat\, so it’s suitable for all fitness levels. Experience the best of this region in a leisurely long degustation food and wine trail through blooming spring wildflowers in Morton National Park. \nSo you can meander at your own pace we take bookings at allocated a times with each group around 12 -20 people\, so guests are staggered throughout the day. Parking has been arranged at the Osborne Park Showground on Moss Vale Road in Kangaroo Valley and is included in your ticket price. When you start the Forage you will be given a booklet outlining all elements of the walk as well as a wine glass for your tastings. \nCost  | 10 course degustation $195 per person. \nThis includes parking\, bus ride there and back which is 15 mins each way\, all food and wine for the day as well as NSW Parks fees and GST. We are unable to accommodate specific dietary requests however approx 7 of the 10 stations are suitable for vegetarians. Please also note that this is an over 18 years event. \nWe recommend flat shoes that cover your feet like trainers\, no thongs or sandals\, as this is a national park and whilst its flat and a well worn track\, it is an unmodified natural surface. DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of 2020\, the biennial Visual Arts in the Valley 2022 will be celebrated over the October long-weekend – Friday 30 September through Monday 3 October in Kangaroo Valley\, NSW. It will feature multiple visual art prizes and special events over four days at a variety of venues in the Valley. \nOur objectives are simple – to assist artists while bringing some of the best contemporary art that matters from around the nation to the Valley and surrounds that speaks about national\, regional and local issues. \nOur goal – to continue to grow as a national contemporary arts event while retaining local and regional flavour. \nTotal Prize Money $20\,000\, donated by local Valley residents\, including the signature Kangaroo Valley Art Prize\, Tony White Memorial Prize for an Emerging Artist\, Salon of Local Artists Prize\, plus Highly Commended\, Commended\, People’s Choice and the popular Packing Room Prize. \nNow one of the more valuable suites of contemporary art prizes in Australian contemporary art\, in 2020 over 1300 people visited the Kangaroo Valley Community Ha transformed into a professional art gallery. Entry fees and commissions are kept low to return as much as possible to the artists. In each of our past two biennials\, over 30% of artworks were sold ($100\,000 in 2020). \nGuest Curator for 2022 – Megan Monte\, award-winning Australian curator who has just assumed the position of inaugural director and curator of Ngununggula\, the National Trust and State Government gallery at Retford Park\, NSW.  Previously director of Cement Fondu contemporary arts space in Sydney and curator of contemporary art at the Campbelltown Arts Centre. \nSpecial Advisor – Rex Irwin\, internationally known art dealer in Sydney since 1976 who has nurtured and enhanced the reputations and careers of many Australian artists.  Former director\, Rex Irwin Gallery\, dealing in contemporary Australian and European art\, and former co-director\, Olsen Irwin Gallery\, Sydney. \nJudge​ – June Watters\, Director\, National Trust of Australia (NSW) Galleries and SH Ervin Gallery since 2001.
