We specialise in delivering cultural services\, focusing on revitalising and sharing Ancient Australian Culture to ensure a thriving Country and a flourishing Community. \nWe see this corroboree as a space to come together with the Kangaroo Valley community and build a connection. Being able to share our stories with the next generation is important to us\, but first we must all come together. Our hope is that this event is the first step in a long relationship. \nA corroboree is a way we give back to mother earth. It’s an ancient cultural practice that has been passed down through generations and continues to be passed down to this very day. We share story through dance and talk\, we explain each dance and what they mean\, we share ancient stories of the creation of our native animals and pay our respects to the lessons they hold. \nGangurang is a beautiful place which holds a powerful story. Story telling is a traditional practice in our culture. Our old people have been sharing story since the beginning of time. We honour our history and our ancestors by passing on their stories\, making sure they live on forever in everything we do. \nWe ask you to join us in on our journey and walk beside us as we learn and care for Country together. \nEvent Description \n– Please arrive at 5:45pm \n– Dinner will be served first at 6pm \n– Corroboree will begin at 6:30pm \n– Tea and dessert afterwards \n– Event will finish at approx 8:30pm \nMeal \n– Kangaroo Stew \n– Vegetable Casserole \n– Wattleseed Damper \nThe food will be made using ancient cultural knowledge with a modern twist. \nNOTE: there are limited spots available for this event \nThankyou to Winderong Farm for working with us and giving us a place to hold this corroboree. Gadhungal Murring is working alongside Winderong\, looking at ways we can work together to teach a sustainable way of being. This corroboree is one of many beautiful things in motion. \nNadtha Yindi (see you soon\, see you later\, see you for who you are and the story you hold with love respect and appreciation)

SUMMARY:Valley Cheese Makers Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Valley Cheesemakers are passionate about cheese. We’re inspired to share our knowledge with others who are keen to learn about cheesemaking too and we love to engage with participants at our Workshops. Learn more about the workshops we offer and how to book your place. \nClassic Cheesemaking\nThe Classic Cheesemaking Workshop introduces cheesemaking skills by making delicious everyday cheeses including Feta\, Haloumi\, and Ricotta. There will also be discussions and tastings of Yoghurt\, Labneh\, Quark\, Mascarpone\, and Sour Cream. \nSoft White Cheeses\nSoft white cheeses are popular and this Workshop will provide the opportunity for you to make cheeses including Brie and Camembert\, either to enjoy yourself or to give as a gift. \nBlue Cheeses\nBlue Cheeses come in a range of forms\, from a creamy blue to Roquefort-style or Stilton-style. This Workshop will demystify the process of creating some of these very appealing cheeses. \nFirm Cheeses\nSome cheeses\, like cheddar\, are often known as “hard” cheeses but that does not mean they are difficult to make\, simply that they need time to mature and become firm. This Workshop will look at a variety of cheeses and discuss whether they are\, in fact\, hard\, firm\, or mature\, along with learning about how to preserve cheeses through waxing. We include semi-hard cheeses in this Workshop as the maturing time is shorter so the cheese can be eaten sooner. The cheeses made in this Workshop include Havarti\, Smoked Caerphilly\, and Red Leicester-style – all of these cheeses can be made in the home kitchen with little effort. \nmost commonly asked question is “can we take our cheeses home?”. The answer is “yes”! The cheeses you make in your group are yours to take home\, nurture\, and enjoy (sharing optional). \nTiming: workshops generally run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. \nPlease note that induction cooktops are used in the workshops. If this will cause health issues for you\, or if you have a pacemaker\, please let us know.
