SUMMARY:Wildwood X Cherry Moon High Bush Tea
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the first weekend of Spring and the road opening up to our friends in the Highlands – after many months of isolation due to floods\, we thought we would welcome them back with a high tea….Valley style. \nThe menu will be designed and prepared by the extremely talented Cherry Moon General Store team to create a high tea with an Aussie bush twist. More details to come but think cakes made with local honey & Rosella jam donuts w/ Lemon myrtle ice cream (dietary requirements can be catered for providing we are informed on ticket purchase) \nWe will also be joined by our friends at Gadhungal Murring\, who will welcome you as the traditional owners of this land and run bush tucker walks. \nOur MC is local bush poet\, Stoney Broke. We have Hef the Alpaca and a Smokin’ Gauchos’ knife and bbq maker coming and many more characters to help make this a special event like no other high tea you have ever been to! \nBeing Father’s Day too we couldn’t help but include some whiskeys and beers to go along with the mimosas and tea inspired cocktails. We are also working hard on our own brews of billy tea and non alcoholic quenchers using native foods from the Valley. \nDraft Menu \nOff the fire Kangaroo skewers with Salt bush\, pepperberry\, cucumber \nChicken club sandwich & warangal green pesto \nGem Scones w/ Lily Pily Jam \nKangaroo Valley Honey Cake \nDavidson plum melting moments \nWattleseed & macadamia chocolate brownie gf \nRosella jam donuts w/ Lemon myrtle ice cream \nWattleseed Coffee Lamington \nWild orange Meringues

SUMMARY:Screening - The Message of the Lyrebird
DESCRIPTION:Upper Kangaroo Valley Landcare Group (UKVLG) is pleased to announce the showing of the film The Message of the Lyrebird and thank Mark Pearce – Creative Producer\, Balangara Films for the opportunity. This fund-raising event will take place on Saturday 10 September at 5.30pm. \nThis award-winning film looks deep into the behaviour of lyrebirds\, its birding subculture\, the science\, the sounds\, and the Original Australian story of the lyrebird. \nWe are taken on a journey into the forests of Australia\, where a lyrebird keeper\, a scientist\, a sound recordist\, a study group\, an activist and a Knowledge-Holder help us understand not only the lyrebird’s sophisticated artwork\, but what its message may be for humanity. The Message of the Lyrebird asks its audience to contemplate the co-existence of the lyrebird and humanity\, and to reflect on the lyrebird’s astonishing behaviour\, its wisdom\, and its peaceful commitment to the continuation of life. The film considers the values of intelligence and consciousness\, the sacred connection between humans and lyrebirds\, and the wisdom that is found when we listen to our shared communal spirit. \nThis film is about the relationship between people and birds and an exquisite forest faery who has been performing song and dance routines for millions of years. A timeless odyssey of self-reflection and a call to remember to live without destroying the things we love. \nClick this link – https://events.humanitix.com/the-message-of-the-lyrebird-crm7hmr3  – to purchase your tickets online. We suggest you buy tickets ahead of the event to be sure of a seat! \nThe Message of the Lyrebird (Official Trailer) can be viewed by clicking this link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKEXl4kILyI
