The Kangaroo Valley Community Consultative Body is informing the community about road closures on Barrengarry Mountain from 9 Feb to 20 Feb for routine maintenance work. The work includes road resurfacing, vegetation management, and drainage installation. The road will be closed between 8pm to 4am and detours will be in place. Residents within the closure area will still have access. The community is advised to allow 80 minutes of additional travel time and follow the detour signs. Night closures of Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry Mountain

Transport for NSW will close Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry Mountain for 10 nights for maintenance work.

Work will include road resurfacing, clearing drains, vegetation management and drainage installation to reduce the risk of future land slips. When and where are we working? Moss Vale Road will be closed in both directions between Bunkers Hill Road and Myra Vale Road Sunday to Thursday nights from 8pm to 4am, Sunday 9 to Thursday 20 February 2025, weather permitting. What will this mean for you? The road will be closed and detours will be in place during work hours. Access for residents within the closure area will be maintained at all times under the direction of traffic control. Detours will be in place via the Illawarra Highway, Macquarie Pass and the Princes Highway. Road users are advised to allow 80 minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
