From the old farm shed, to our private hanging rock - Wildwood Long Table Lunches are a feast for the senses. Our secret locations are uniquely matched to the cuisine, with all menus designed during the week leading up to the event, according to seasonality, local inspiration, and our Chef’s whim.
About 1 hectare is dedicated to the Pioneer Settlement Museum, barbeque, parking and toilet facilities. The buildings are built to the standards of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and stocked with artefacts from that era.
The museum has talking history and visual displays. Visit the dairy, forge, school house, settler’s cottage, Archie Chittick Museum, war remembrance room and much more.
Another 7 hectares of natural bushland is available for bushwalking along designated tracks.
Held in the grounds of the region’s leading hotel The Friendly Inn, the KVBBQ Festival 2021 features dozens of craft beer breweries, top of the line barbecue caterers, live music, and a host of all-ages activities from piglet racing to helicopter rides.
The ever-popular piglet races take place on both days allowing all festival goers to place their bets on the cute little critters which will be wearing their different coloured vests in any of the seven heats per day.
After two successful years we are bringing back the Highland Valley Forage to Kangaroo Valley in Autumn and Spring 2021 to tell the story, through food and wine, of how the Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven and Coast South of Sydney are connected. By tapping into the culinary skills of local gastronomic artisans, we can offer a 10-course degustation lunch like no other. It is a spectacular day of food, wine and nature, made even more interesting as we witness the regeneration of this bushland after the devastating fires in January.
Arts in the Valley holds a biennial arts festival in Kangaroo Valley. The next festival is in May 2021. In addition Arts in the Valley presents music concerts and visual arts events throughout the year.
Since 2007, Arts in the Valley has brought some of the finest musicians, artists and writers in Australia to Kangaroo Valley for our concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
