Screening - The Message of the Lyrebird
Sep 10
To celebrate the first weekend of Spring and the road opening up to our friends in the Highlands – after many months of isolation due to floods, we thought we would welcome them back with a high tea….Valley style.
The menu will be designed and prepared by the extremely talented Cherry Moon General Store team to create a high tea with an Aussie bush twist. More details to come but think cakes made with local honey & Rosella jam donuts w/ Lemon myrtle ice cream (dietary requirements can be catered for providing we are informed on ticket purchase)
We will also be joined by our friends at Gadhungal Murring, who will welcome you as the traditional owners of this land and run bush tucker walks.
Our MC is local bush poet, Stoney Broke. We have Hef the Alpaca and a Smokin’ Gauchos’ knife and bbq maker coming and many more characters to help make this a special event like no other high tea you have ever been to!
Being Father’s Day too we couldn’t help but include some whiskeys and beers to go along with the mimosas and tea inspired cocktails. We are also working hard on our own brews of billy tea and non alcoholic quenchers using native foods from the Valley.
