The road to Kangaroo Valley is open and the village is ready to welcome you for summer 2023! Cambewarra Mountain from the south is one lane with a 40km speed limit for a short duration. The good news is this only slows your arrival down by around 10 minutes and gives you a chance to take the incredible views across the valley.

Kangaroo Valley faced challenges with road access due to weather events back in 2022. Despite these challenges, including the aftermath of the Currowan Bushfires and COVID-19 restrictions, our community has stayed strong. Now, with clear roads and sunny skies, we’re ready to welcome you back to experience nature and adventure in our beautiful valley.

- Nature’s Splendor: Venture out on the Three Views walk or meander through the lush bush reserve in town as part of your entry to the Kangaroo Valley Pioneer Museum.
- Shop till you drop: Our unique antique, homeware, gift, and fashion stores.
- Paddock to Plate: Enjoy our local cafes and village bakeries. Grab lunch on the go at Wrap’n’Roll. Fill up on supplies for a picnic by the Kangaroo Valley River with supplies from the General Store and Newsagency, for those looking for something a little lusher pre-ordered a picnic box from Hampden Deli. Savour the taste of local produce with a loaf of sourdough from Terra & Mare.
- Active Adventures: Bike around the village, try our pump track or challenge yourself with a family ride to the Upper Kangaroo River Hall. For the more adventurous, explore beyond the village with guided tours, bushwalks, canoeing or rock climbing
